Max Gaffney

I began my career in the NHS, working across Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire in a variety of settings including musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopaedics, and respiratory care. This gave me a well-rounded clinical grounding and a strong understanding of movement, injury, and recovery.

I then transitioned into private practice in London, where I treated a wide range of clients — from office workers and active professionals to Metropolitan Police officers and amateur athletes. This period shaped my ability to deliver high-quality rehab in both high-performance and everyday environments.

Over the past few years, I’ve focused on delivering mobile physiotherapy across South Birmingham. Working with elderly clients, post-op patients, and those unable to travel has been some of the most rewarding work of my career — helping people regain confidence and independence in their own space.

Alongside my mobile work, I now run a clinic inside D&A Boxing Gym in Stirchley. This gives me the opportunity to work with a broad range of people, including boxers, Hyrox athletes, and recreational gym-goers looking to move better, recover faster, and stay injury-free.

My approach blends hands-on treatments like sports massage, stretch therapy, and dry needling with tailored rehabilitation and movement coaching — built around your goals, body, and lifestyle. I'm HCPC-registered and bring both clinical expertise and a practical, no-nonsense style to every session.
