Our approach
Many of the people we help are older adults, recovering from injury or surgery, or living with a neurological condition, and many are family members arranging care for someone else. We design our website with them in mind.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we’ve done
Our website is built so that you can:
- use it with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline;
- use it with a screen reader, with clear headings, labels and descriptions;
- zoom in up to 400% without content being lost;
- read text with good colour contrast;
- tap buttons and links easily, with large touch targets;
- reduce motion, if you have asked your device to;
- check whether we cover your area by typing a postcode, as well as on the map.
We run automated accessibility checks each time the website changes, alongside checks with a keyboard and at mobile screen sizes.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not be fully accessible:
- the interactive coverage map can be hard to use with a screen reader. The postcode checker and the list of areas beside it give the same information;
- our online booking page is provided by Cliniko, so its accessibility is outside our control. If you have difficulty using it, you can book by phone, WhatsApp or email instead;
- reviews are shown as written by reviewers on Google, so we cannot edit them for clarity.
Accessible appointments
Because we visit you at home, we can adapt how appointments work. Let us know if any of these would help, and we’ll do what we can:
- involving a family member or carer, with your consent;
- extra time, or shorter sessions;
- exercise sheets in large print or another format;
- keeping in touch by text, WhatsApp or email rather than by phone.
Feedback and help
If you find something on our website difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, email info@themobilephysio.co.uk or call 07526 738917. Please tell us the page and what went wrong.
