Getting started

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can contact us directly to arrange private physiotherapy without a referral. If we feel your symptoms or circumstances would benefit from further medical assessment, we’ll explain this and advise you on the appropriate next steps.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online, or contact us directly by telephone, WhatsApp or our enquiry form if you’d like to talk things through first.

What happens at the first appointment?

We start by getting to know you, understanding your concerns and assessing your movement, strength and mobility where appropriate. We’ll explain what we find, discuss a plan and begin treatment during the same visit where suitable. We’ll also provide exercises and advice to help between appointments.

I’m not sure physiotherapy at home is right for me. Can I ask first?

Of course. Get in touch and we can talk through your situation and whether a home visit is the right next step.

Home visits

Which areas do you cover?

We visit across South Birmingham and North Worcestershire. Travel is included in the appointment price in our standard area; in the extended area an additional travel fee applies, which we confirm before you commit. If you’re committing to regular or frequent follow-up sessions, we can offer a discount on the travel fee, which we can discuss before you book or at your initial assessment.

Can physiotherapy be done at home?

Yes. Assessment, treatment and exercise rehabilitation can all be adapted to a home visit, and being in your own surroundings makes advice about stairs, chairs and daily tasks more practical.

Do I need anything ready before you arrive?

A little clear space and a suitable chair or bed is usually all we need. We’ll bring the equipment required for your appointment and let you know beforehand if there’s anything specific to prepare.

Older adults and care homes

Can I arrange physiotherapy for a parent or relative?

Absolutely. We regularly work with families arranging physiotherapy for loved ones, whether they live independently or in a care home. We can discuss their needs with you, coordinate appointments and keep you updated where appropriate and with their consent.

Do you visit people in care homes?

Yes. We regularly provide physiotherapy in care homes, including support with mobility, strength, balance and rehabilitation after illness or a hospital stay. We’re happy to coordinate directly with care home staff to make arrangements as straightforward as possible.

Can family members be kept updated?

Yes, with the patient’s consent. A family member can arrange appointments on their behalf and receive updates on how things are going.

Appointments and payment

How much does an appointment cost?

In our standard area, an initial assessment is £80 for 60 minutes, and a follow-up is £70 for 60 minutes. Appointments outside the standard area may cost more, so check your postcode or see our pricing page for details.

How long does an appointment last?

Initial assessments and standard follow-up appointments each last 60 minutes. This gives us time to assess, treat and discuss your progress without rushing.

Do I need to buy a package or block of sessions?

No. There are no packages or courses to buy upfront. You simply pay for each appointment as you go.

Can I use private health insurance?

Appointments are self-pay, so payment is made directly to us. We can provide receipts for you to submit to your insurer if your policy covers treatment on a reimbursement basis. We recommend checking with your provider before booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged at the full appointment fee, although we’ll always use discretion in exceptional circumstances.
